Please email your two U.S. Senators and your one U.S. Congressman something like the following note:

Dear Senator X:
Dear Congressperson Y:

RE: INTERNET RADIO EQUALITY ACT

Without Congress' intervention, individual and small webcasters' voices will be silenced in a matter of weeks. If not enacted, billion dollar corporations will control ALL music in America. Please don't listen to lobbyists whose underhanded intent it is to bankrupt small web radio companies.

Not enacting this Act will put thousands of musicians out of work, left to flip burgers and scrub floors – and frankly, suicide. Not to mention the millions of people whose musical tastes aren't served by broadcast radio and who will be left without alternatives.

Broadcast radio sucks – it is filled with lyrics of violence, hatred and contempt, much of it aimed at denigrate and subjugate women, creating a noise-pollution which is evil enough to sicken and kill-by-a-thousand-stings any being within earshot, whether child, animal or plant.

The proposed copyright royalty rates are unreasonably and ridiculously high. Please make a stand against such unconscionable royalty-rate hikes by enacting the Internet Radio Equality Act.
